GORC Classic

Five Cappa Club teams entered this year’s GORC classic – a 120km teams handicap event based around the Great Ocean Rd and the Otways.

• Cappa Spearchuckers – captained by Brett Robinson
• Cappa Mandars – captained by Tim Mahon
• Cappa Katzermans – captained by David Harper
• Woolly Pistas – captained by John Gould (on single speeds!)
• Cappa Schleppers – who had no organisation whatsoever

The Spearchuckers completed the course in a new record time for the GORC, although due to their handicap were only able to manage 2nd place. They were closely followed by the Mandars who put in a very strong performance to finish 3rd.

The Katzermans by no means disgraced themselves finishing in 7th, the Woolly Pistas put in a great effort to finish 13th, while the Schleppers – well they schlepped & finished dead last.

Well done to Macca & the GORCs for organising another fantastic edition of this event!
